The GoldenGate Lawyers’ Journey to Atlanta, USA for the 146th INTA Annual Meeting
From May 18 to May 22, 2024, the 146th Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA) convened in Atlanta, USA. This year’s INTA Annual Meeting attracted more than 10,000 professionals from over 140 countries and regions around the world. The GoldenGate delegation joined peers from all walks of life to explore the latest trends and developments in the realm of intellectual property (IP).
Held by the International Trademark Association, the INTA Annual Meeting is one of the most influential and unprecedented IP events in the world. It serves as a premier platform for learning and exchanging, bringing together IP professionals from renowned corporations, law firms, judicial bodies, governmental agencies, and academic institutions worldwide.
Since its establishment, GoldenGate has been a steadfast participant in the INTA Annual Meetings. This year, GoldenGate’s presence at the Annual Meeting in the United States was led by Partner Lawyer Meng Ting, Lawyer Zhao Tianjuan and Lawyer Chen Jianchun. The delegation, consisting a total of seven members, journeyed to the United States to participate in the Meeting.

Lawyer Linda Zhao, the Founding Partner of GoldenGate Lawyers, had the privilege to participate as a guest speaker at the INTA’s official forum entitled “Candid Conversations, Discussing the Future: Challenges and Opportunities in Law Firm Management”. Drawing from her extensive experience in law firm management spanning over a decade, Ms. Zhao provided a comprehensive presentation on various critical aspects, including the firm’s talent strategy, the integration of AI technology into legal practice, case management and market expansion strategy, as well as the growing importance of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles. She shared insights on how law firm managers tackle the complex challenges of today’s evolving legal landscape.

During the Meeting, GoldenGate Lawyers delegation actively participated in a variety of thematic forums, roundtable discussions, expert exchange meetings, and closed-door brand meetings. They shared the firm’s in-depth insights and rich experience on the frontier issues and emerging trends in IP. They engaged in extensive exchanges and interactions with IP institutions, organizations, business representatives, and lawyers from all over the world, and in doing so, established a deeper connection and a firmer foundation for closer cooperation with both new and established partners and clients from domestic and international markets.
