On October 13, 2021, the IP Authorization Commercialization and Cultural and Creative Development Workshop, co-organized by Boao Cultural and Creative Research Institute (referred to as “Boao CCRI) and S-Mart Cultural Creativity and co-sponsored by S-MART Resort Industry Intelligence Platform, Chenzao Cultural Creativity, Magic Bean Investment, Modian Crowdfunding, GoldenGate Lawyers, Senbo Building Blocks, and Qiaohe Animation, was officially launched.

Sharing Topic: “Cultural and Creative Industry and IP Authorization Contract Risks and Due Diligence”
Partner Linda Zhao, from a practical point of view, shared her insights on the contractual disputes and legal risks that arise during the commercialization process of cultural and creative industries and IP authorization, systematically sorting out the blind spots and legal issues often overlooked when authorizers and the authorized parties collaborate, and summarizing the core contractual clauses and considerations for signing of the contract. Moreover, she further emphasized the risk mitigation strategies throughout the cooperation process from a due diligence perspective, using rich real-world case studies. This provided practitioners in the field with a detailed “Avoidance Guide”.
