GOLDENGATE INVITED TO ATTEND THE OFFLINE SALON EVENT “IP ON THE LEFT, COMMERCIALIZATION ON THE RIGHT”
On November 15, 2022, the offline salon event titled “IP on the Left, Commercialization on the Right”, co-initiated by S-Mart Cultural Creativity and Jihua Shouwen Beijing Technology Co., Ltd., was successfully held at the Lumi Warehouse New Audio-Visual Industry Park in Beijing.
Ms. Sunny Guo, a partner at Beijing GoldenGate Intellectual Property Agency Co., Ltd., and Mr. Fu Shengguo, the head of the trademark infringement department at Beijing GoldenGate Lawyers, were invited as guest speakers. They, from the perspectives of authorizing parties, authorized parties, and third parties, engaged in discussion and exchange centered around “IP Authorization Commercialization” and shared typical cases and successful experiences to help IP authorizing parties and authorized parties break through barriers, form synergies, and develop together.
From a professional standpoint, Ms. Sunny Guo explained the definition of IP authorization and provided a detailed interpretation of the key clauses in IP authorization agreements, addressing the perspectives of authorizing parties, authorized parties, and third parties. She covered important aspects such as the subject, content, and method of authorization. Also, by analyzing cases such as “If You Are the One” and “Ghost Blows Out the Light”, she not only helped deepen understanding of determining the classification of goods and services in commercial and legal contexts, but also provided insights into how to avoid situations where the rights content is unstable. This reinforced the importance of having the necessary legal knowledge and preparation within the IP authorization industry.
Mr. Shenguo Fu, the lawyer, conducted an on-site question-and-answer session, providing detailed and professional answers to legal questions arising from IP authorization practices. Not only did this Q&A session serve as a comprehensive introduction to IP commercialization and legal awareness, but it also effectively enhanced the legal awareness and risk management capabilities of industry professionals.
