Profile

Sunny Guo's practice focuses on the areas of intellectual property and IP licensing. She had helped large state-owned enterprises, cultural media companies, internet companies, car rental, coffee, catering, the environmental protection industry, and many other well-known enterprises in China to develop one-stop IP solutions and dispute resolution mechanisms. She is good at intellectual property protection, IP commercialization licensing, trademark transfer plans, and relevant contract formulation. She is familiar with domestic trademark protection and dispute resolution. She is good at dealing with domain name disputes, copyright disputes, etc.

Sunny served as co-organizer of Hainan International Cultural and Innovation Week Legal Forum.

She was invited to participate in the "One County, One Product" Rural Innovation Industry Development Forum of Hainan International Cultural and Innovation Week in 2023, and delivered the speech "Geographical Indications Energize Rural Revitalization" and the lecture on recognition of geographical indications.

She was invited by Boao Institute for Cultural and Creative Innovation/Super Mart Cultural and Creative Industry to serve as the invited lecturer on "IP Licensing Commercialization, Cultural and Creative Development Theme Camp" and “New Audio-Visual & Video Game Industry Work Camp”.

She was also invited by IPR CORPS to produce a series of courses called "Madrid System Practical Introduction".

She was invited by the Anti-Infringement and Counterfeiting Alliance to produce the online course "Intellectual Property Strategy and Protection of Cultural and Creative Industries".

She was invited to participate in the topic course "Trademark Strategy and Trademark Compliance Use and Evidence Retention" in the IP Lecture Hall of Guangdong Intellectual Property Research Institute.

She was awarded the "Top 10 Intellectual Property Consultant of the Year" in China in 2023 and the Excellent Mentor of the Anti-Infringement and Counterfeiting Lecture Hall.

• Representing the trademark attorney for corporations to maintain well-known trademarks.
• Advising companies on trademark strategy, recording of trademark license contract, business negotiation, and trademark investigation, which involves media, fast-moving consumer goods, car rental, water purification, gold mining, heavy machinery, network security and other fields.
• Enacting the application and management of geographical indication collective trademarks or certification trademarks.
• Advising domestic heads of museums and cultural companies on IP licensing, copyright issues, and domain name application, transfer, and dispute.
• Acting for domestic companies on daily intellectual property issues such as filing applications, opposition, review of applications, non-use cancellations, and etc.
• Acting for companies on infringement investigation, evidence preservation, online anti-counterfeiting, industrial and commercial investigation, and customs seizure, involving hotels, clothing, food, manufacturing, light industrial products, and many other fields.
